Gunlord Sega Dreamcast
Another Dreamcast console comparison, this time with the N64. The Dreamcast was technically a sixth gen console, but it was discontinued around the same time as the N64, so the N64 provided all of Nintendo's competition against it.The consoles are somewhat similar; both have four controller ports, and both controllers have only one stick, which gives them very similar styles of FPS's.However, the Dreamcast used a disk system.
The N64 used cartridges.Consider the following when voting:. Which console had higher quality games?.
Which one had a better controller?. How expensive is each console/ games? This is a very easy decision for me, unlike the Dreamcast vs. XBox thread which was a close call for me.Dreamcast all the way.
A contender for my game of the year award. Gunlord is made by the NGDEV team. Keeping retro consoles alive with kick ass new games and gunlord is no exception. Yes it's not original. But my god its.
Fantastic game library, with lots of unique titles, and pretty much perfect arcade ports. And Sega Net was the first easily accessible, popular and widely used online console gaming network out there. Yeah, there was Saturn Link, but I wouldn't call that a healthy online gaming community outside of Japan. With the N64, the controller really makes the console take a big hit, in my book. That awkward hunk of junk is one of the worst designed controllers ever made. Not THE worst, but it's up there.
This is a very tough decision for me seeing how the Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast are my number 2 and 3 favorite consoles of all time, respectively. League of war: mercenaries cheats. By a small margin, I choose the N64 just because there are slightly more games I like on it than the Dreamcast. Empire defense ii games. Not only that, but their are three N64 games in my top 10-games of all time and only two Dreamcast games (regardless of Shenmue being my #1 game of all time). I also owe the N64 for turning me into the hardcore video game fanatic I am today, so the Nintendo 64 gets my vote between the two.
