I Wanna Be The Guy Bosses
Name From How to Unlock Special? Notes Boshy: I Wanna Be The Boshy: n/a n/a The titular character, and your default avatar. In real life, BoshyTime is an I Wanna Be The Guy streamer of which this game was made for. He played every version up until release and even after.
Rating includes Crazy Mode. Difficulty rating includes Normal Mode.Gustav at least acknowledges that he's garbage at platforming and does not make big platforming stages between each boss. The story is as stupid as the original NES classic Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, but the payoff is sensational. The platforming segments are so small that their absolute lack of quality almost doesn't seem to matter (it still does, mind you). So, the experience consists in fighting boss after boss. The two best boss fights of the previous underrated (but still garbage) game are recycled. And for good measure!
They are utterly sensational. The last fight does something better than the very Boshy did: having the full version of Agnus Dei. With exceptional boss concepts, except for the second boss (which was meh) and the fifth boss which was remarkably easy (this seems to be an in-game joke for what really is the final boss), as a boss rush the concept works splendidly. Unfortunately you have to be interrupted by cancerous platforming segments, but not difficulty-wise, but garbage-wise. For the record, Gustav Counterfelt is one of the coolest bosses in fangame history. Also, there is a Crazy mode for the game, and you should consider an 80 difficulty from me for that. It just happens not only that you can play as Gustav, but also that it shows the true final boss of the game, and it is a monstrous spectacle!
It is like the true story told from Gustav's perspective fighting his own demons in a fantastically epic fashion. So, to sum up, a significant improvement from the first fangame, cancer platforming, an idiotic story, mostly wonderful bosses, a breathtaking final fight and golden extra content. Still tons to improve, but at least it improved a ton from the original. Best guy's sequel, IWBTBG 2. It has a Crazy mode which is boss rush with harder variant of them(and you can play as Gustav. Yay!), but my difficulty is only based on the main game.
If I included Crazy mode, I would give it 7080 maybe.Stage 1: Simple, much less trap than BG1. Platforming is mostly filler in this game anyways.Boss 1(Orn Emperor): Alright, maybe people who saw him first time might feel disgusting, but I personally feel it's hilarious. Anyways, incredibly easy boss after you know all of its patterns. Kind of a trap in the end.Stage 2: Pretty much same as Stage 1. Fillers.Boss 2(Baldis): Pretty mediocre boss.
There's a charge pattern which can be pretty hard to react, but everything else is easy. Men of valor in the bible. Kind of a trap in the end.Stage 3: Harder fillers. Jump refresher part can be hard to newcomers in I wanna series.Boss 3(Rakhris): Cool boss. The shield mechanic and the patterns he got is pretty unique.
He also has a counter attack, so be careful when he stays still.Stage 4: You might notice the ambient of this stage. Other than that, just another filler platforming.Boss 4(Guardian General Rot): That boss in the BG1! Shinobido way of the ninja movie. With new cool effects. He got some new cool patterns too. Great boss.Stage 5: Just one screen with emptiness. LolBoss 5(Ecaep dlrow): He flips your screen, but it's not that terrifying since he has no super-precise pattern. Mediocre boss.Final stage: You might notice the ambient of this stage too.
Also these traps.Final boss(Gustav Counterfeit): Cool boss. It has a lot of unique patterns. Also i don't know if it's because of his sound effects, I feel like this boss has a lot of coolness.
Anyways, it's a pretty hard boss.So overall a great boss rush game in my opinion! I won't spoil anything about crazy mode, so that you can play it if you're interested. 0 Likes.
