Hi Lorien, For best results you do want to try and stick to the schedule as much as possible, especially if you are beginner. But, life happens and you can certainly adjust the schedule around. I almost never start a program on a Monday either. As far as rest days, you would not want to workout everyday of the week at a high intensity, it is important to give the body time to recover from workouts. With that said, I rarely take a complete day off, I always try to do some light stretching, yoga, or foam rolling on my off days or so called recovery days.
